Pierce County District Court Criminal Division is located at the County City Building, 930 Tacoma Avenue South, Tacoma, WA 98402. This court handles misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors occurring in Pierce County, including DUI. The judges in Pierce County District Court are Pat O'Malley, Margaret Ross, Franklin L. Dacca, Jack F. Nevin, Karla E. Buttorff, James R.Heller, Judy Rae Jasprica, and Claire Sussman. Two judges are assigned to the court's Hosmer location which handles traffic infractions. Judge Jasprica is assigned to the Domestic Violence court which exclusively handles DV cases. Criminal misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors including DUI are handled by the other judges.
